1. Who We Are

MUXTI is operated by Boogie Apps, based in Nicosia, Cyprus. We are the data controller for personal data collected through the MUXTI mobile app and website (muxti.cy).

2. Data We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal data:

Account data: Email address, display name, optional phone number, profile photo. Collected when you create an account.

Listing data: Photos, descriptions, prices, location (city level), and category information you provide when posting a listing.

Transaction data: Records of purchases, sales, and boost payments. Payment card details are processed directly by Stripe and are never stored by MUXTI.

Usage data: App interactions, listing views, search queries, and device information (device type, OS version). Used for platform improvement.

Communications: Messages sent between users through the in-app messaging system.

Location data: Approximate location (city/region level) when you choose to show your listing location. We do not track your precise GPS location in the background.

Push notification tokens: Device token used to deliver push notifications. You can opt out in your device settings.

3. How We Use Your Data

To provide, operate, and improve the MUXTI platform.
To send transactional emails (e.g. email verification, password reset) via Resend.
To process payments via Stripe.
To send push notifications about messages, listing activity, and saved searches (you can opt out in Settings).
To detect fraud, enforce our Terms of Service, and ensure platform safety.
To comply with legal obligations under Cyprus and EU law.

4. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

For users in the European Union / European Economic Area, we process your data under the following legal bases:

Contract performance — to provide the services you signed up for.
Legitimate interests — to improve the platform, prevent fraud, and ensure security.
Legal obligation — to comply with applicable Cyprus and EU law.
Consent — for optional features such as location sharing and marketing communications.

5. Third-Party Services

Supabase: Our database and authentication provider. Your data is stored on Supabase infrastructure in EU data centres. See supabase.com/privacy.

Stripe: Payment processing. Stripe handles and stores payment card information. See stripe.com/privacy.

Resend: Transactional email delivery. See resend.com/privacy.

Expo / EAS: Mobile app build and push notification infrastructure. See expo.dev/privacy.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial compliance purposes (e.g. transaction records may be retained for up to 7 years under Cyprus tax law).

Listing photos and content you have posted publicly may remain visible until actively deleted. Messages between users are retained while both accounts are active.

7. Your Rights

Under GDPR you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you.
Rectification — correct inaccurate data via your profile settings or by contacting us.
Erasure — request deletion of your account and associated data (available in Settings → Delete Account).
Portability — request your data in a machine-readable format.
Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests.
Restriction — request that we restrict processing of your data in certain circumstances.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at boogieapps.help@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Cyprus Commissioner for Personal Data Protection (dataprotection.gov.cy).

8. Cookies and Tracking

The MUXTI website (muxti.cy) uses cookies and similar tracking technologies for analytics and advertising purposes. A cookie consent banner is shown on first visit. The mobile app does not use cookies.

We use Google Analytics (GA4) and the TikTok Pixel on our marketing landing page (app.muxti.cy) to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns. You can opt out via the cookie consent banner or your browser settings.

9. Children's Privacy

MUXTI is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS), row-level security on our database, and access controls to protect your personal data. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

11. International Transfers

Your data is stored and processed within the EU/EEA by our service providers. Where any transfer outside the EEA occurs, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place (e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses).

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the app or email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised.
